FAQ
Is this activity suitable for children?
Yes, it is suitable for all ages babies to grandparents. All our paints are non-toxic, skin and food safe; perfect for capturing hand and footprints including paw prints for your furry companion.

Can we bring food into the studio?
Unfortunately, we can’t allow food into the studio as oils from the food can transfer easily onto the pottery causing problems when glazing. We do however offer drinks in the studio to keep you going!

How do I book for pottery painting?
Use our online booking system to reserve your space. Please let us know if you have any additional requirements such as pushchair/mobility aids space and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Walk-ins are very welcome, but school holidays and weekends are busy so booking is advisable or we may have to turn you away!

How Artistic do I need to be?
You do not need to be artistic at all! Pottery painting is about relaxing and having fun- whether you are a beginner or professional. We have some patterned pottery for those less confident or we can help you with stencils and carbon copying any simple images you bring with you. Look on your phone for inspiration and think about what you want to paint, plate, mug, bowl etc.

How long do I have to paint?
Your session allows for 2 hours of painting. If you are painting a larger piece and haven’t quite finished, we will allow you to stay longer if it is quiet or we can keep your piece safe and you can book another time slot (additional studio fee will apply). There will be special evening events added which will be for 3 hours should you wish to book on to one of these.

How long do I have to wait to collect my pottery?
Please allow 14 days for pottery to be ready for pick up. This may be longer at peak seasonal times of year. You will be given a collection date at your appointment or you can check our social media for updates.
Items will be kept for 6 weeks after completion. After this we will have to recycle as we do not have the space to hold any longer. If you are struggling to collect in this timescale please contact us and we can agree an extension if needed.

I’m on holiday, what can I do?
If you are unable to collect within the timescale we can arrange for your items to be posted to you.
Prices will vary between £8 and £14 tracked via Royal Mail. We will take great care to wrap and pack your items but once they are in the mail it will be at your own risk and any claims will need to be made via the Royal Mail compensation page.
